I went to see Hamilton with Cloud last night for school, here's a collection of my thoughts.
The structure was a little bit stifling, breaks between songs would have served the flow and feeling of the story. The songs themselves were very well written though.
The worship of real people in such a way was odd to me, though. As a non-American, seeing these historical figures being immortalised in what is a work of embellished non-fiction is a little strange. Though, this is not a gripe with the performance, just the concept itself.
The end was appropriately emotional and very well staged. The entire performance was very well lit and staged, with a great rotating element in the centre of the stage.
