also hot take: i don't rock with friends to lovers arcs. idk. it's like if you're like "well, being friends with someone first before dating them is the best!!", it's like there's a chance that this mindset causes you to end up seeing all of your friends as potential options, which is kinda bad. also, if you become friends with someone while being interested in them, the whole friendship is a facade because you will internally always have ulterior motives, and it's like. if they're not into you, they're not into you. don't hope that they magically start liking you.
