I always dreamed of some form of D&D where the Social and Exploration encounters were done traditionally, to then have combat be an actual game/system that speeds things along with kick ass action. The worst part is that the D&D games I played never had moments that challenged my thoughts in beliefs, real or in game. idk maybe I just want a D&D antagonist to tell me "It hurts, my mind hurts. Everything fucking hurts, I do not want to live here anymore. Just please let me, die." to then attack me with nihilistic rhetoric.
