It's pretty interesting to me that one of the most popular games ever made was created by someone who didn't even know how to properly code in the language he was using. Neat stuff!

I wonder what made Beta 1.7.3 such a memorable version of Minecraft for me. Was it the coloring of the grass? The chaotic yet peaceful generation of the world? The simplicity of the fact that there weren't so many features in the game at that point that it felt like a mod pack? I don't think I'll ever know for sure, but what I do know is that I'm glad it's a game that exists.
